This week the Arts Council announced that £64.8 million has been awarded to 7,484 creative practitioners and 2,182 independent organisations as part of our Covid-19 Emergency Response Fund. These grants have been made possible through our existing funding from Government and the National Lottery.
The grants in Calder Valley total £334,306 and has therefore been awarded to 14 creative practitioners (£107,981) and 14 organisations (£226,325).
Announced in March, the Arts Council’s Emergency Response Fund has been designed to help alleviate the immediate pressures faced by artists, creative practitioners, museums, and libraries over the summer - supporting them as they continue to serve their communities during this crisis and affording them the time to stabilise and plan for the future.

"Congratulations to these Organisations who've been granted this funding, I am sure this will make a massive difference to those who have subsequently suffered throughout the current pandemic."
