My Work Experience Programme is available to students and anyone else who may have an interest in politics from the Calder Valley constituency. The placement aims to give you an insight into local politics and offers an opportunity to boost personal skills and enhance your CV.
Students will be able to help with a number of tasks:
- Answering queries from constituents, either by phone, letter, email or social media
- Writing and publishing responses to campaigns
- Researching local and national issues
- Writing press releases
- Designing marketing graphics for MP's Social Media & Website
- Accompanying the MP to meetings or events in the constituency
- Assisting with general office duties
- Researching and engaging in debates
